Scope of the Euroschool The Euroschool 2018 will focus on complex materials converting energy (thermoelectrics, magnetocalorics, ...) from theoretical and experimental points of view, accounting for fundamental issues and applications, and including wide aspects of electron and phonon properties as well as their interactions in complex multiatom alloys. The aim of the Euroschool is to provide lectures and tutorials (excersises & numerical labs) where participants will apply acquired knowledge to solve concrete problems. According to the intention of the Advisory Board, the Euroschool in 2018 will be the 2nd part of the Euroschool 2017 which took place in Split (September 10-15, 2017). The invited lectures will concern fundamental and applied research on thermoelectric and magnetocaloric materials.
The Euroschools are traditionally addressed to young scientists, postdocs, doctorants and students (but senior scientists are also welcome) in such fields as
condensed matter physics and chemistry, materials science, metallurgy and material engineering.
Actually, the proposed lectures set a goal not to exceed a master degree. Besides, the aim of the Euroschool is
to present 'step-by-step' lectures, tutorials and hands on. Participants are welcome to present their recent
research in the form of posters.
Abstracts should be sent as an e-mail attachment to the addresse firstname.lastname@example.org before
April 22, 2018 (extended).
Participants should register by filling out the Registration form.
Registration starts on March 1, 2018.
We look forward to meeting you in Krakow
